It was scarey

Since Glen and I decided to put in a garden this year, I made the leap and bought a pressure canner.

Last Monday evening my mom called me and said that my step-dad brought home a big box of green beans and wanted to know if I would can them for her.  Of course I said I would.  Tuesday evening came around and I found myself in my kitchen first looking at this very intimidating pan and then at the instructions on how to use it since I had never canned anything before.

As you can see, everything went as it should…..and I didn’t blow up my kitchen 🙂

You are brave to use a pressure cooker. I would be afraid too.

  2. My husband is the one who uses the pressure cooker and cans. You are, indeed, brave. 🙂

Looks like a lot more room for beans.

  4. I have now used it twice…two batches of green beans. I am addicted now! 😀
