Manhunt
Well, yesterday started out very interesting and unusual. I was snoozing soundly when my sweetie, Glen called and woke me up. I don’t remember the entire conversation, which is not unusual for me after being awakened. What I do remember is Glen saying the neighbor called and said there is an armed subject that the police are looking for on the back of our property. That will definitely wake a girl up! So I got out of bed and made my way to the living room. I looked outside and sure enough there was a state patrol car in our driveway. CRAP! I called work, (yeah, I work for the state), and inquired why there was a trooper in my driveway. Turns out they had a vehicle pursuit with suspects from a copper theft and the passenger of the vehicle, who was all whacked out on meth, was still at large……somewhere in the vicinity of my house. They wanted this guy pretty bad because they sent the helicopter equipped with FLIR from Jefferson City when Kansas City wouldn’t fly because of the weather. The helicopter buzzed my house so many times I lost count, and in all that time it never occurred to me to take a picture. I.am.dumb!
This picture is courtesy of the Missouri Highway Patrol website. I can’t believe I didn’t grab my camera! The only “bird” I did take of a picture of was Eva as she was watching all of this go down.
I think the only thing she was thinking was “why are you standing outside in the cold and rain?” Anyway, after watching intently out my windows for three hours, the search was called off with negative contact. Meaning the fool could still be out here wandering around. Sure hoping he either got a ride or he walks/runs himself far far away.
